Who you are:
As a Community Residential Lending Specialist, you are our key support, by providing equitable access to credit by facilitating lending processes within low-to-moderate income areas, making sure that loan needs within these communities are met. More than that, this role is about building relationships and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.
What you’ll do:
- Provide equitable access to credit by facilitating lending processes within low-to-moderate income areas, making sure that loan needs within these communities are met
- Build deep relationships with community organizations, local contractors, and area real estate agents in support of The Bank’s CRA and fair lending objectives
- Actively engage with local communities to build and foster meaningful relationships, requiring regular presence and interaction outside of the office environment
- Listen for residential lending needs in the low to moderate income community and identify how The Bank could help; collaborate with The Bank’s mortgage team to ensure all mortgage needs are met
- Articulate to community members how our products work and what the benefits are
- Help community members become The Bank customers by assisting with the application and closing process; be available to provide the highest level of our award-winning The Bank service
- Collaborate with other employees to serve the community with care, ensuring product needs are met and that The Bank’s interaction with local organizations is properly coordinated
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in banking and/or mortgage lending
- A deep commitment to making people’s lives better in the communities we serve
- NMLS license; the ability to transfer license to The Bank or obtain license within 60 days
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Salesforce experience
- Residential lending product knowledge
